“Man has no Body distinct from his Soul; for that called Body is a portion of Soul discerned by the five Senses, the chief inlets of Soul"
William Blake
Late autumn, and a moment of stillness; fireworks behind us and fairy lights ahead. The Senses retreat offers you space to pause, reflect and reconnect before the sparkling winter festivities begin in earnest.
Jo and I are so happy to be collaborating again on another retreat at our favourite time of year, gathering in mid-November for a long weekend in Suffolk. We’ll be hosting this year’s autumn retreat at a new (and fabulous) venue, we’ve designed a whole fresh creative retreat programme, extended the retreat to a three night long weekend offering (yay!) and lined up brilliant new workshop leaders. But you’ll experience the same warm welcome, vibrant programming and attention to detail we hope regular retreatees have come to associate with our offerings
The Senses retreat will be inviting us to explore presence and the body-soul intersection as we connect deeply with our sensory selves over the course of our three days together. We’ve lined up practices to engage each of the five senses, along with a host of other sessions to nourish and balance mind, body and soul during the retreat.
Over the course of the long weekend, you’ll enjoy:
Two deeply immersive sound experiences
An aromatherapy workshop
A seasonal cookery lesson with our retreat chef (and former Masterchef contestant!), Na
A lesson in facial care and massage, using organic and nature-inspired Weleda products
An introductory lesson in Qigong
Seasonal yoga practices
A full length energetic breathwork practice
Indoor and outdoor meditation practices
An optional morning sea swim
Downtime to process your experiences, take bracing coastal walks, explore the village or nearby town of Southwold or spend time in the on-site hot tub.
Beautifully appointed and super-comfortable accomodation; you’ll be blown away
Fabulous warming and nutritious food throughout the retreat cooked by Na; including welcome mocktails, pre-dinner nibbles and afternoon cake
Complimentary teas, coffees and fruit bowl throughout
An opportunity for a massage treatment (extra charges apply)
Support with your own journey from the retreat hosts
The company of a fabulous group
A special gift to take home with you
The group size is small and intimate, with space for just ten guests. This ensures plenty of individual attention and encourages the open sharing and support that is so valuable in this context.
We have the following accommodation options (prices are person and fully inclusive of all meals, snacks, activities and equipment. We welcome single person bookings for twin room places and can match you up with other single bookers):
Single room - £775 (king-size master en-suite), or £750 (double en-suite)
Twin room - £650 (annexe room, en-suite) / £600 (main house room, private bathroom)
A £200 deposit secures your place. A further instalment of £200 will be due by the end of July, and the final balance (amount dependent on your room option) by the end of September.
We think this might just be our best offering to date :) , and we do hope you choose to join us.
To enquire about a space, arrange a call to discuss the retreat or ask any questions you have about the experience, please send us a message, and we’ll come back to you as soon as possible.
