As April begins, we welcome the new season with a whole day retreat filled with yoga, breathwork, outdoor bathing and a sauna ceremony, all topped off with a seriously restorative early evening relaxation.

We’ll be hosting our day retreat at PAUS, a gorgeous outdoor bathing venue set in the Cambridgeshire countryside. PAUS is inspired by the Scandinavian philosophy of balance. Beautifully hand crafted, western red cedar hot tubs, "proper" Finnish dry barrel saunas, cold showers, plunge pools, hot showers with toiletries all combine to make for a memorable outdoor bathing experience.

We’ll begin our day with a warming, solar infused yoga practice from Wendy to awaken the cells and body with somatic, breath-led movement focusing on the water element and our swathistana chakra (our connection to creativity, flow and femininity). The yoga will be followed by a mini Wim Hoff inspired workshop, during which Emma will share with you the breathing technique developed by “ice-man” Wim. The breathwork will help to prepare you for the afternoon’s adventures and at the same time act as an energetic spring clean, stimulating endorphins and engendering a sense of clarity and purpose to take you into the new season.

After our morning in the studio, there’ll be time to walk the bare-foot sensory meditation trail before enjoying a deliciously prepared three course lunch at the hill top restaurant.

In the afternoon, our three hour bathing experience awaits us! Emma will be sharing a guided sauna ceremony in the large group sauna, following which you may choose to move between pools and saunas or take another nature walk, indulge in quiet time or conversation at the restaurant or simple watch the crackle of fire around the fire pit…its flexible.

Finally, Wendy & Emma offer you a restful, submersive & integrating restorative, yoga nidra and Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls practice before you glide your way home into the evening.

There’ll be lots of laughs, teas and snacks throughout the day and a glass or two of prosecco (or soft drink) in the hot tub!
