"For breath is life, and if you breathe well you will live long on earth" ~ Sanskrit Proverb
Breathwork; the use of breath awareness and conscious breathing for healing and growth, personal awakening and transformation in spirit, mind and body. It's a practice as old as time that remains acutely relevant in the modern world.
I’m thrilled to be collaborating with The Falcon Hotel at Castle Ashby on a 10 week programme to share both the science and the magic of the breath through a series of gentle yet powerful workshops. Taught at the beautiful yoga studio at The Falcon, by the end of the course, you'll be armed with tips and hacks to ease you through day to day life and a deepened sense of connection with your breath, yourself and the world around you.
Over the course of the 10 weeks, we'll explore a broad range of breathing techniques and theory, as we work on breathing to benefit the body, the mind and the soul. Each week, we'll start the session by experiencing a different breathwork practice - ranging from simple breathwatching, through coherent breathing Zen breathing, alternate nostril breathing and more - before settling back to enjoy consciously connecting the breath, a practice that can be both deeply relaxing and powerfully affecting, described by one of its masters, Dan Brule, as "a direct path to spiritual awakening, self-realisation and enlightenment".
The course runs on Thursday evenings at The Falcon Hotel starting on 22 July and ending on 7 October, 7pm-8.30pm. You can book direct via The Falcon or please message me emma@breathe4good.co.uk with any questions or for more info
