Last summer’s photography workshop with Clive Nichols, “Britain’s Best garden photographer” (Canon Magazine) was one of our most popular events of the season. So we’re thrilled that we’ve persuaded Clive to join us again this year to run another of his workshops - and the fact that this workshop is taking place in September means there’ll be very different vistas for repeat bookers to capture!
Over the past 7 years, Clive had been a frequent visitor to the garden, taking photographs throughout the seasons, many of which have featured in UK and oveseas publications. Clive has photographed many of the world's best gardens, including HRH The Prince of Wales's own private garden in Scotland, Lord Rothschild's private garden in Corfu and Lord Heseltine's private garden in Oxfordshire. His passion for the subject comes across in every image that he makes.
His work has appeared in hundreds of books as well as in countless magazines, calendars and brochures. Clive regularly gives master classes in flower and garden photography for The Royal Horticultural Society and has a huge Instagram following. In 2022, he published “Brilliant English Gardens” to great acclaim.
After a welcome drink, our afternoon workshop will begin with a presentation by Clive. This will be followed by a practical demonstration in the garden, as Clive shares his hints and tips for capturing the very best garden images. We’ll break for tea and cake before participants set out into the garden with their cameras (and with Clive on hand to give guidance and advice) to put into practice their learnings from the afternoon.
We think it’s going to be a very special afternoon. Tickets for the workshop are £75 and numbers are strictly limited to 20.
