You know when someone comes into your life and you sense straightaway that its for a reason? Well, so it was when I met the lovely Jo Barlow (@jojosounds) at our mini-retreat morning at Old Rectory in April. Her instant connection with the garden was tangible, and when I discovered she was a sound therapist, it was only a matter of time before an event was in the diary!
And so we’re delighted to be able to offer you the chance to participate in a blissful sound bath in the garden. Jo will lead us on a deeply-immersive journey, a full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture mind and body.
Our sound bath event is in aid of Women for Women International’s Afghanistan projects; helping the brave women of Afghanistan in their battle to reclaim basic human rights following the regime change in the country last year.
Spaces on the event cost £15, which includes calming herbal teas and a sweet treat to look forward to after the sound bath. We’re limiting numbers to 15, so please get in early to secure your space
NB: this is an outdoor event, so weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rearranged and refunds offered to anyone who cannot make the revised date
Please note: It’s advised not to attend a sound bath if you’re in the first trimester of pregnancy (0-12 weeks), have a pacemaker/defib or diagnosed heart condition or cardiovascular disorder, are epileptic or have any metal implanted in the body (eg joint replacements
